The Avalon Day Spa does not use systems that are keratin based, which are popular in western formulations, instead opting for keratin free, vegan, plant-based alternatives- vegetable proteins which mimic the effect of keratin. In addition to: panthenol (Vitamin B5), biotin (Vitamin B7), copper peptides (stimulates hair growth, builds strength and reduces fallout), hyaluronic acid multiplex (hydrating and nourishing), and amino acid (nutritional building blocks needed to support healthy hair structure) in the formulation.

Regular lifts using keratin use stronger TGA (thioglycolic acid) formulas at a higher pH that can only be applied to the middle and tips of the lashes to prevent root damage. Korean lifts use milder, cysteamine-based formulas close to the hair’s natural pH, making them safer to apply across the whole lash.

Regular lifts focus mostly on a sharp bend or curl right at the root. Korean lifts process from root to tip to elongate, soften, and correct the overall direction and symmetry of the hair.

The gentler composition minimizes dryness and lowers the risk of over-processing, which is better for fine or fragile hair. The system includes a patented ingredient, 1,3 DAPDM, which seals the cuticle after lifting and infusing the hairs, and is scientifically proven to prevent hair damage. It works by enhancing the internal fibrous structure, restoring hair to a healthy state, and repairs damage.

The result is still the same 6-8 weeks of beautiful lifted lashes, however with our system, the hair is healthier and the lash lift looks softer, longer and more natural.

There is no cost for a lash patch test appointment and it will only take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
