Why We Like It
Muscovado Sugar- an excellent ingredient for a sugar scrub due to it’s moisturizing molasses content, fine particle size, and gentler exfoliating properties compared to salts or coarser sugars. The molasses in the muscovado provides some antioxidants as well, including gallic acid and other polyphenols. It’s glycolic acid content helps exfoliate the skin and promote cell turnover, which leads to a brighter, more even skin tone. Cupuacu Butter- deeply moisturizing and nourishing to the skin and hair due to its rich fatty acids and ability to retain water. It improves skin elasticity, smooths dryness and irritation, and can assist in diminishing the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Cupuacu butter is lighter, absorbs faster, and holds more water than shea butter.
Cocoa Butter- high in fatty acids such as oleic, palmitic and stearic acids, which hydrate the skin and create a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss. It is rich in antioxidants like polyphenols, which help protect the skin from free radical damage, reduce signs of aging, and improve skin tone.
Coffee Butter- a natural emollient, creating a barrier that locks in moisture and prevents water loss. The caffeine in coffee butter can have a lipolytic effect, which helps firm and tone the skin, making cellulite less obvious.
Caffeine Extract 10%- helps stimulate micro-circulation in the skin, encouraging firming and degradation of fat cell accumulation during lipolysis.
Mango Butter- a rich source of antioxidants, including vitamins A, C, and E. These antioxidants protect the skin from free radical damage, which can cause premature aging, wrinkles, and fine lines. Mango butter contains phytosterols, which help to improve skin elasticity and firmness. It can also help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 – assists in increased collagen production and cell communication
Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (Matrixyl 3000)- assists in increased collagen production and cell communication Sepitonic M3.0- a “chrono-energizer” (zinc, copper, magnesium complex like a multivitamin for your skin cells), advanced anti-glycation mineral technology, encourages collagen and elastin production
