Hale & Hush Announce New Formula For Mist Me Facial Mist

Hale and Hush just announced the newest product in their line to be re imagined, continuing the flow of updating and improving on ingredient decks. Mist Me is a facial mist that is meant to hydrate and nourish the skin. It’s ingredient deck is anti-inflammatory, supports moisture in the skin, and has antioxidant and antiaging properties. It can be used as often as necessary and can even be used to set mineral makeup.

The Reformulation

Mist Me has always had a slight cranberry scent, which the company announced is no longer available from their source supplier. Rather than compromise, they selected a new premium natural fragrance—the same invigorating tangerine and black currant blend featured in Hale & Hush’s Clarify Wash. 

They also reformulated the product with new ingredients.

Sea Silt – Sea silt is a mineral-rich marine ingredient that helps purify, detoxify, and rebalance the skin by absorbing excess oil and impurities. Naturally abundant in trace minerals, it supports healthy-looking skin, refines the appearance of pores, and leaves the complexion feeling refreshed, smooth, and revitalized.

Hypochlorous Acid – Hypochlorous Acid is a skin-identical molecule that helps calm visible redness, support the skin’s natural defense system, and promote a balanced, healthier-looking complexion. It refreshes stressed skin while helping reduce the appearance of irritation without disrupting the skin barrier.

Mirabilis Jalapa Extract – Mirabilis Jalapa Extract, derived from the Four O’Clock Flower, helps soothe sensitive, reactive skin while reducing the appearance of redness and discomfort. It supports the skin barrier, enhances hydration, and promotes a calmer, more balanced complexion.

Prunus Serrulata (Cherry Blossom) Flower Extract  – A soothing botanical extract packed with antioxidants that help calm and revitalize the skin. Cherry blossom extract supports hydration and softness while helping improve the appearance of dullness, leaving the complexion looking refreshed, radiant and more youthful.

Daffodil Bulb Extract (Narcissus Tazetta Bulb Extract) – Daffodil Bulb Extract helps slow the appearance of skin aging by supporting cellular longevity and resilience. It promotes a smoother, firmer complexion, improves the appearance of fine lines, and helps skin better resist environmental and oxidative stress.

What They Kept In The Formulation

Botanical Extracts & Antioxidants-

Hale & Hush kept antioxidants Resveratrol (Giant Knotweed Extract) and Passiflora Incarnata Extract (Passionfruit) both have anti-inflammatory benefits. They also kept French Rose Flower Extract (antioxidant with toning, cellular and DNA protection from UVA and UVB) and Cocoa Extract (antioxidant with phyto-endorphin and moisturizing properties). Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Extract (antioxidant with high concentration of punicic acid, an omega-5 fatty acid that is deeply moisturizing) and Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract (antioxidant contains flavonoids like naringin and vitamin C that help shield the skin from environmental stressors) both contains micronutrients. Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract contains supportive antioxidants and flavonoids, Rubus Occidentalis (Black Raspberry) Fruit Extract antioxidant that contains Ellagic Acid: A natural polyphenol that helps fight cell damage and Quercetin: A flavonoid that helps reduce swelling and inflammation, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract antioxidant High levels of anthocyanins and vitamin C and ellagic acid, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract antioxidant Rich in polyphenol antioxidants, anthocyanins, and vitamins A and C) and Citrus Clementina (Clementine) Peel Oil antioxidants and limonene which balance oily skin and help the skin with acne, High levels of vitamin C and flavonoids

PHAs, AHAs, BHAs and Acids-

Gluconolactone gentle polyhydroxy acid (PHA) derived from glucose that exfoliates, hydrates, and protects the skin as an antioxidant

Phytic Acid is an antioxidant that assists in uneven skin tone, and reducing hyperpigmentation.

Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract contains the enzyme bromelain and alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) to help break down and remove dead skin cells, rich in saccharides and amino acids that hydrate the skin and calm irritation., delivers vitamin C and antioxidants to neutralize free radicals and support a more even skin tone.

Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract Contains citric acid (a natural alpha hydroxy acid or AHA) that gently exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal smoother skin. Antioxidant protection as this is rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids.

Usage:

The directions remain the same, cover eyes and mouth when misting. Use as many times as needed.
